Alright. Right now, Fobby's playstyle has made him one of the biggest wildcards in the game. He's a troll but he's smart. He's created more chaos than anyone else so far (kind of helped when I pointed out that he might be the Jester I suppose), so I've created this thread for the sole purpose of deciding what to do with him.
Here's my two cents: Right now, Fobbs' claims of wanting to be killed have placed him to be a creator of chaos, just as I stated in the main Mafia thread. It is in the town's best interest to get him killed, and thus our best interest to keep him alive for now, but I have no doubt that he has a hidden motive. My theories are as follows:
1) Fobby is the Jester or Bomb. This one originally seemed plausible, and has held up as a distinct possibility, particularly the Bomb option. Pretty straightforward: he's trying to get lynched, just as he claims, meaning he is pretty much using reverse-reverse psych to get us to doubt our own doubts and kill him anyways. If that makes any sense.
2) Fobby is a traitorous townie (one of our "missing members") Before I get into this let me point out that smashbro wouldn't tell me whether or not the traitorous townies know who is in the mafia.
If this is the case, targeting him will benefit us but only to a point, because if he isn't on our side, he'll be killed and we'll lose one of our best methods of creating chaos. We also have to wait at least until Night 2 to allay any reasonable suspicion that I or Weldar was behind it.
If he is aligned with us, however, targeting him will benefit greatly, because he can continue to act the same way as a he did when he was a townie, and when he is revealed to be mafia in some way, all those who opposed him (particularly me and weldar at this point) will be vindicated.
Leaving him alone in this case is a good option as well, because he can still spread chaos whilst also not being associated with us and staying suspicious. Not to mention if he gets lynched and is a bomb he could take down an innocent with him, and earn us a good number of kills in one day.
Here's the thing though: Tonight, I suspect the cop will scan Fobbs. If this happens, Fobby will appear innocent. That puts us in a powerful position: First, if the cop reveals himself tomorrow in order to proclaim Fobby's alignment, we'll know his identity, and we'll want him out of the way ASAP. We should target one of the two if this happens, just keep in mind that the cop would almost certainly be protected by the doctor. I wish we had a roleblocker on our side :/. Second, if the cop chooses not to reveal Fobbs' identity, Fobbs is still free to mindfuck everyone, advantageous for us.
3) Fobby is the serial killer Something that just crossed my mind. Perhaps by playing so eccentrically he plans to create the same chaos I've been mentioning in order to stay alive himself. This would be a risky move on his part, as he's on his own if he's a SK and he is going to be killed sooner or later. If this is the case though, I might point out that Weldar and I are likely among his prime targets for bringing up such strong arguments against him last thread. This is doubtful however, as it's probably a major theoretical stretch . Still worth considering though.
Your thoughts?
